History of Al-Azhar University Al-Azhar University is a university associated with Al-Azhar Mosque in Islamic Cairo, Egypt. it is Egypt's oldest degree-granting university and is renowned as Sunni Islam’s most prestigious university. How long will it take me to be fluent in the Arabic language? This is a question that has been posed many times and the response is the same. Just follow through with a tried and tested curriculum and the language will come.
